Study on the level and influencing factors of posttraumatic growth in caregivers of patients with hematopoietic stem cell trans- plantation

Abstract：Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of posttraumatic growth in caregivers of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.Methods Totally,314 caregivers of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Tianjin were investigated by general information questionnaire,Posttraumatic Growth Inventory,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire.Results The mean score of posttraumatic growth inventory was (71.27±15.39).Multi-ple regression showed that medical expense payment,resilience,negative coping style and positive coping style were the major influencing fac-tors (P<0.01 or P<0.05),which explained 41.7% of the total variance.Conclusion The posttraumatic growth of caregivers of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is at a medium level.Relevant influencing factors should be focused by medical staff,and it is necessa-ry to take intervening measures to improve the level of posttraumatic growth for promoting the recovery of psychological health and enhancing quality life.
