Inspiration from humanistic elderly care in Austria to the development of humanistic geriatric nursing in China

Abstract：The paper analysis the elderly characteristics about physiological and psychological,and the needs of humanistic care,intro-duce the successful experience of Austrian humanistic care for the elderly:concept of humanistic care,detailed care evaluation,autonomy care in daily life and diversified positive adjuvant therapy,human living environment of the elderly.Combining with the situation of China,the paper put forward the suggestions on the development of humanistic geriatric nursing:deepening humanistic concept,combining humanistic care with geriatric knowledge and skills,providing autonomy and diversified humanistic care,constructing the elderly living environment.
