Survey on current situation of nurses'humanistic care ability and the relationship with head nurse's leadership

Abstract：Objective To explore the current situation of nurses'humanistic care ability and the relationship with head nurse's leader-ship.Methods A total of 228 nurses were investigated by using the general information questionnaire,the nurses'humanistic care ability scale and Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ).Results The total score of nurses'humanistic care ability was (47.54±15.44),which in the general level.The nurses'perceived change leadership behavior (53.60±15.08) was higher than that of transactional leadership (27.75±6.13). There was a certain correlation between the total score of humanistic care and nurses' perceived leadership of head nurse ( P<0. 01 ) . Conclusion Nurses'humanistic care ability is in the general level and it is correlated with head nurse's leadership.Making use of different leadership behavior can improve nurses'humanistic caring ability.
