Application of Gibbs' Reflective Cycle in the teaching of nursing students in operating room

Abstract：Objective To explore the application of Gibbs' Reflective Cycle (GRC) in the teaching of nursing students in operating room.Methods Totally,60 nursing students in the operating room were selected as the control group,and 60 nursing students were selected as the experimental group.Traditional teaching method were used in the control group,and the experimental group used the GRC,including the formation of reflective teaching team,set up the teaching contents,department teaching in nursing students,organize postoperative reflection and write a diary.At the end of the study,two groups of students were compared with the equipment preparation and cooperation in surgery score and usability evaluation score.Results The scores of equipment preparation and cooperation in surgery and usability evaluation in GRC group were higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion GRC plays a positive role in the teaching of nursing students in operation room,which is suitable for teaching training of nurse students in operation room.
