The correlation among parenting stress and coping style, social support in parents of children with rheumatic diseases

Abstract：Objective To explore the correlation among parenting stress and coping style,social support in parents of children with rheumatic diseases.Method A total of 100 parents of children with rheumatic diseases were investigated by parenting stress scale,coping style scale and social support scale.Results The score of parenting stress in parents of children with rheumatic disease was (110.27±21.97),and 81.00％ of the parents scored more than 90.The parenting stress of parents of children with rheumatic diseases was negatively correlated with positive coping style and social support (P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).Conclusion Parents of children with rheumatic diseases experience high levels of parenting stress.Positive coping style and large support networks decrease the parenting stress.
