Investigation of quality of life and influencing factors in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compressive fracture surgery

Abstract:Objective To investigate the quality of life and its influencing factors of elderly patients at six months after osteoporotic vertebral compressive fracture surgery,and to provide basis for further targeted interventions.Methods A total of 204 patients with osteopo?rotic vertebral compressive fracturesurgery were surveyed by using general situation questionnaire,Short Form 36 Health Survey Question?naire,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Social Support Scale.Results Each dimension score and total score of the quality of life in pa?tients at six months after surgery were lower than those of domestic norm.Multiple regression analysis showed that the quality of life of patients in terms of physical health was influenced by age,gender,income,unhealthy lifestyles,tenacity,optimism and objective support.The quality of life in patient's spirit health was influenced by age,income,self-reliance,optimism,subjective support,and utilization of support. Conclusion The quality of life of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture patients is poor after operation.Nursing interventions should be taken to improve the psychological resilience,while providing necessary social support to improve the quality of life of postoperative patients.
