Effect of multidisciplinary team collaborative care model on self-care ability and quality of life in patients with colostomy

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the effects of multidisciplinary team collaborative care model on self-care ability and quality of life in patients with colostomy.Methods Eighty-two patients with colostomy were randomly divided into the observation group(n=38)and the control group(n=44).The control group received traditional nursing,the observation group were treated with multidisciplinary team coopera?tive nursing. The self-care ability and quality of life in the two groups were compared at the discharge,1 and 3 months after surgery. Results After the multidisciplinary team collaborative care intervention,the patients'quality of life in the observation group was higher than those of the control group.Conclusion Application of multidisciplinary team collaborative care model in patients with colostomy can signifi?cantly improve their self-care ability and quality of life.
