Abstract:Purpose To explore the effectiveness of comprehensive intervention on reducing the rate of multiple drug resistant bacteria infection in emergency ICU (EICU). Methods Interventions were implemented including set up EICU infection control nurse post to strengthen the hospital infection knowledge training, early screening, early detection, early intervention, the implementation of standardized oc-cupational protection, improving cleaning disinfection management, control the number, and carrying out multi-sectoral coordination coopera-tion.Results After the implementation of comprehensive intervention, the number of new multiple drug resistant bacteria decreased per 1000 days of hospitalization(P<0.01).Conclusion Comprehensive intervention can reduce the hospital infection rate of EICU multiple drug resistant bacteria, and take targeted interventions according to the distribution of different strains.
