Investigation of general ward nursing needs in a level-3 general hospital

Abstract：Objective To analyze inpatients nursing needs of general ward in a level-3 general hospital.Methods All inpatients of general wards in a level-3 general hospital in Beijing were selected.According to stratified sampling,186 inpatients were investigated from 18 wards of surgical and medical departments.Results The everage score of nursing needs of inpatients was(2.35±0.40),the needs scores of self-esteem,security,love and belonging,physiology,conditions and self-actualization were(2.43±0.42),(2.43±0.46),(2.37±0.45), (2.34±0.47),(2.32±0.47),and (2.21±0.51)respectively.Conclusion The needs of self-esteem,security,love and belonging are promi-nent in general ward.The appropriate nursing measure should be provided according to actual situation of hospitalized patients.
