Correlation analysis of quality of sleep and health-related quality of life in liver transplant recipients

Abstract:Objective To investigate the sleeping quality and health-related quality of life (HRQOL)in liver transplant recipients and analyze their correlation.Methods A total of 291 liver transplant recipients were investigated by a self-designed general questionnaire, Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS)and post - Liver Transplant Quality of Life Questionnaire (pLTQ). Results The total score of AIS was 5(2,8).About 36.08% of liver transplant recipients had insomnia.The total score of pLTQ was 154 (131,175).The total score of AIS was negatively correlated with the total score of pLTQ and each dimension(P<0.01).Conclusion The sleeping quality of liver transplant recipi-ents were serious,and the quality of life was above the medium level.There is a positive correlation between the quality of sleep and health-related quality of life in liver transplant recipients.Intervention measures should be taken to improve the quality of sleep in liver transplant re-cipients to make a better life quality.
