Application of PDCA cycle by pharmacists combining with nurses in the management of spare drugs at clinical departments

Abstract：Objective To apply PDCA cycle in the department of pharnacy and nursing staff to improve the standardized management of spare medicine.Methods The PDCA drug management group was set up to analyze the current situation of drug administration in clinical departments,formulate corresponding measures,check the implementation measures and improve continuously.Result After the implementation of PDCA cvcle management,the nursing staff improved the awareness of the knowledge about the management of the pharmacy in the clinical department (P ＜ 0.01),and the incidence of the problem of backup drug management decreased (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions The joint application of PDCA cycle management by pharmacists and paramedics can give full play to their own expertise,improve the knowledge of pharmacv management and reduce the problems in the management of backup medicines.
