The application and effect assessment of prehospital intervention combined with continuing nursing in enhanced recovery after surgery of patients with gastrointestinal tumors

Abstract:Objective To develop prehospital intervention and continuing nursing based on the model of enhanced recovery after surgery,in order to accelerate the rehabilitation of gastrointestinal tumors.Methods Before preoperative preparation,to provide integration of medical care health assessment and rehabilitation intervention of physiology,psychology and nutrition for patients in clinics.Patients received health education before discharging and familial rehabilitation guidance after leaving hospital.Results After prehospital intervention,the indicators of lung function,physical activity,mental state and nutrition index were better than those of before (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05).After continuing care,the consulting cases decreased 4 weeks after surgery (P < 0.05) and patients'motor function,psychology and nutrition were better 4 weeks after discharged (P < 0.05).Conclusion The prehospital intervention can create well operative conditions for patients and continuing care can accelerate rehabilitation,which promote and enrich nursing concept of enhanced recovery after surgery,and has a good clinical prospect.
