Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation and related factors of pre-examination and triage decision-making ability of emergency nurses in Beijing,in order to provide guidance for the construction of emergency triage nurses training system. Methods Totally,206 emergency nurses in 15 3A-level general hospitals in Beijing were surveyed by general data questionnaire and pre-examination decision scale. Results The total score of the pre-examination and triage decision-making ability was (149.53 ± 30.77).The scores from high to low were cognitive behavior, experience technical confidence, intuition and critical thinking.Professional title, further education level,emergency-related certificate, participation in case discussion were the factors influencing nurses'triage decision-making ability (P <0.01 or P < 0.05).Conclusion The overall level of pre-examination and triage decision-making ability in 15 3A-level general hospitals in Beijing is low,and the pre-examination assessment system is imperfect. It is suggested that nurses can improve the ability of nurses'critical thinking through training, and organization of case discussion,to improve nurses'ability of pre-screening decision-making.
