Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of network interactive education on medication compliance in rural patients who were undergoing peritoneal dialysis. Methods A total of 103 patients were randomly divided into the intervention group(n =51)and the control group (n =52). Control group received routine health educa-tion. Intervention group received one - on - one network interactive education, which included building health education group, creating individual health profiles,develo-ping a medication plan and inviting patients to join peritoneal dialysis activity group. To compare patients'medication compliance at discharge in one month, three months and six months after discharge. Results The scores of medication compliance improved in both groups, and the intervention group was significantly higher than the con-trol group(P <0.01 or P <0.05). The interaction between treatment effects and time effects were significant (P <0.01),and medication compliance scores varied with time. Conclusion The network interactive education can improve medication compliance in rural patients who were undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
