Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of resilience on risk perception level of nurses in order to provide a scientific guidance to avoid occupational risk and improve professional safety of nurses. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted in 525 clinical nurses in a 3A - level hospital of Xi'an by adop-ting Connor - Davidson resilience scale(CD - RISC)and risk perception questionnaire. Results The resilience of nurses was in the middle lower level, three di-mension scores from high to low were strength, toughness and optimistic. The risk perception of nursing staff was in the middle upper lower, and the top three di-mensions were occupational exposure risk, physical function risk and personal safety risk. The total score of resilience and its various dimensions and each dimension of risk perception were negativly correlated(P < 0. 01),strength and toughness could effectively predict the risk perception level(P < 0. 01). Conclusion The resilience of nurses has a great influence on risk perception level and good resilience can effectively reduce the level of risk perception.
