Abstract:Objective To explore the application of feedforward control in the prevention of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD) in patients with acute severe poisoning. Methods Totally,64 patients with acute severe poisoning treated in ICU from January to December in 2014 were selected as the control group, and 72 patients from January to December in 2015 were selected as the observation group.Patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing, and patients in the observation group were treated with feedforward control mode based on the control group.Incidences of IAD and occurrence time of IAD in the two groups were compared, severity level was evaluated, and the Behavioral Pain Scale (BPS) score, hospitalization days, return rate of ICU in two groups were compared.Curative effect were evaluated after two weeks of treatment of patients with IAD,and nursing satisfaction were evaluated at the time of hospital discharge. Results Incidence of IAD in the control group and the observation group were 32.81% and 8.33 % respectively (P < 0.01),IAD occurrence time were (6.25 ± 0.65) days and (13.37 ± 2.02) days after admission (P < 0.05),and symptoms were largely comprised of red and swelling. The BPS scores, hospitalization days, return rate of ICU in the observation group were all lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Feedforward control has good effect on preventing IAD in patients with acute severe poisoning, not only decreases IAD incidence significantly, but also delays IAD occurrence time. After treatment,it has higher clinical efficiency and nursing satisfaction, and is worthy of reference and application in clinical nursing.
