Abstract：Objective To explore the satisfaction and sympathy burden of oncology nurses,and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods The Kalaosike and Miller Satisfaction Scale and Chinese version of sympathy burden scale were used to investigate 424 oncology nurses.Results Oncology nurses'job satisfaction score was (100.57 ± 15.07),compassion satisfaction score was (34.20 ± 5.33).The score of compassion fatigue was (20.09 ± 4.53),compassion fatigue score of job burnout was (18.15 ± 4.20).Job satisfaction was positively related to sympathy burden (P ＜ 0.01),and job satisfaction was negatively related to compassion fatigue and job burnout (P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Stimulate nurses'sympathy and contentment to relieve their compassion fatigue by improving job satisfaction,meanwhile promoting their psychological health,and ensure the quality of clinical nursing.
