Literature review of the popularization and application status of Omaha System in China

Abstract：Objective To analyze the application status of Omaha System in China and provide references for its localization.Methods A total of 127 articles on Omaha System since published to Dec.31 2016 were searched in Chinese datebases,including annual analysis fund assistance,journal distribution,periodical distribution post agency,object,research topics and type,the application site,the dominant group and etc.Results The Omaha system literature was in significant growth,and distributed in 49 journals,with 55 funds supported,and 58.62％ from hospitals.The methods of literature were mainly based on quasi-experimental and descriptive studies.The main topic was application effect analysis (63.78％).The Omaha System in the field of clinical nursing and community nursing practice research were 116 reports,application site focused on hospital and family visits,and practice subject were mainly clinical nurses.Conclusion The Omaha System has been concerned by the scholars in recent years in China,which should been defined the application and popularization scope.The hot spot focus on the application effect.Medical university-hospital-community collaboration,interdisciplinary cooperation,rigorous study design and standard language database,homogeneous training should be the prerequisite to make the system work well.
