Correlation between family dynamics and positive acceptance among parents of children with cochlear implant

Abstract：Objective To explore the relationship between family dynamics and positive acceptance among parents of children with cochlear implant,and to provide reference for clinical nurses on family dynamics assessment and intervention for parents of children.Methods Totally,323 cases of parents of children with cochlear implant were investigated the systematic self-rating scale of family dynamics and the positive acceptance scale.Results The scores of family dynamics and positive acceptance were (3.08 ±0.33) and (3.23 ± 0.37) respectively.Family dynamics was positively related to positive acceptance,and 3 dimensions of family dynamics could effectively predict positive acceptance.Conclusion The family dynamics and positive acceptance among parents of children with cochlear implant all show moderate level.Family dynamics can predict positive acceptance,and clinical nurses should take family assessment and intervention for parents of children so as to promote a higher level of positive acceptance.
