A study on the application of continuous nursing with Traditional Chinese Medicine to improve the living ability and motor function of stroke patients after discharge

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on activity of daily living and motor function of stroke patients after discharge.Methods Totally,142 cases of stroke patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group.The control group received conventional discharging instructions and weekly telephone follow-up for 3 months,while the experimental group carried out continuous nursing with TCM on the basis of the control group.Results The activity of daily living and motor function of stroke patients in the experimental group were both higher than those of the control group after discharge for 3 months(P <0.01).Conclusion The continuous nursing with TCM can effectively improve the activity of daily living and motor function of stroke patients after discharge,so as to improve the satisfaction and quality of life of patients.
