The application of flipped classroom combined with case based teaching mode in the medical statistics course for undergraduate nursing students

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with case based teaching method in the medical statistics course for undergraduate nursing students.Methods A total of 158 undergraduate nursing students were recruited as the experimental group,and they finished their course by flipped classroom combined with case based teaching method.And 149 undergraduate nursing students were recruited as control group,using traditional teaching methods.By the end of the teaching process,comparison of the two groups of nursing undergraduate assessment results and satisfaction with the teaching effect.Results There were obvious difference between two groups in the satisfied degrees on theory,operation assessments scores and teaching efforts,the experimental group was better than those of control group (P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Flipped classroom combined with case based teaching mode show good effect,and the nursing students'theoretical knowledge and application ability of medical statistics are greatly improved.
