A study on the application of mobile phone APP gestational diabetes mellitus management software in the management of gestational diabetes

Abstract：Objective To investigate the application effect of the management software in mobile phone APP in the self-management of patients with ges-tational diabetes mellitus.Methods Developing and using the mobile phone APP gestational diabetes mellitus management software which was called "Diabetic Mother Assistant" to manage the disease of the patients.Results The biochemical indexes of fasting plasma glucose,2 hours postprandial hyperglycemia and glycosylated hemoglobin of patients were improved.The score of self-management effectiveness and compliance to diet were improved,the score of exercise problems was dropped(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The gestational diabetes mellitus management software shows to be effective in helping patients with gestational diabetes to control blood glucose,improving patient's disease self-management behavior,which is worth for clinical popularization and application.
