A study on the application of warning nursing strategy in children with EV71 severe hand-foot-mouth disease complicated with nervous system damage

Abstract：Objective To investigate the application effect of warning nursing strategy in children with EV71 severe hand-foot-mouth disease complicated with nervous system damage.Methods Totally,360 children with EV71 severe hand-foot-mouth disease complicated with nervous system damage were divided into the observation group (180 caces) and the control group (180 cases).The control group was given routine nursing interventions,on the basis of this,the observation group was given the warning nursing strategy which included the central nervous system,respiratory system,circulatory system symptoms and high fever,blood glucose and white blood cell monitoring and other aspects,and the clinical therapeutic effect of the two groups were compared.Results The total course of disease,the duration of fever,the duration of nervous system involvement and the improvement of clinical symptoms of the children in the observation group were all shorten (P ＜ 0.01).The body temperature,heart rate,respiratory rate,systolic blood pressure,white blood cell (WBC) and blood glucose of the children in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of complications of children in the observation group decreased and family satisfaction of their family members were enhanced (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The warning nursing strategy can significantly shorten the course of disease,improve the symptoms,reduce the risk of complications,and promote the prognosis of the children with EV71 severe hand-foot-mouth disease complicated with neurological damage.
