Influence of head nurses’ diversity leadership behaviors to nurses’ behavior objective achievement

Abstract：Objective To understand the influence of head nurses ’ diversity leadership behaviors in nurses ’ behavior objective achievement.Methods Head nurses'diversity leadership behaviors scale and nurses’ behavior and objective achievement scale were conducted in 496 nurses from three 3 A-level hospitals.Results Head nurses'average score of transformational leadership was (2.46 + 0.64) and the average score of transactional leadership was (2.51 ± 0.67).Nurses’ average score of behavior objective achievement was (4.01 + 0.92).The professional title,working age,and the two dimensions of individualized consideration and contingent reward in head nurses'diversity leadership behaviors were the major influence factors of nurses'behavior objective achievement (P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Head nurses should adopt diversity leadership behaviors to arouse nurses’ working enthusiasm,so as to improve the quality of nursing service.
