The practice and result of observation-teaching-discission combine with "sandwich" teaching model in cultivating core competency of emergency nurses

Abstract：Objective To discuss the practice and result of observation-teaching-discussion (OTD) combine with "sandwich" teaching model in cultivating core competence of emergency nursing specialists.Method General teaching mode was implemented in 56 emergency nurses in chongqing as the control group,OTD union "sandwich" teaching model was adopted in 64 emergency nurses in chongqing as the observation group,including forming teaching teachers,developing teaching plans,setting teaching content and the implementation of teaching programme.Theory,operating exams,and core competencies in the two group were compared after training.Results Nurses the observation group had better results in theory,operating exams and core competencies than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion OTD combine with "sandwich" teaching model can improve the core competence of emergency nurses.
