Status and influencing factors of uncertainty on illness among patients with type 2 diabetes

Abstract：Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of uncertainty on illness among patients with type 2 diabetes,so as to provide reference for psychological intervention.Methods A total of 250 patients with type 2 diabetes were investigated by the general information questionnaire,the disease uncertainty scale,the diabetes pain scale and the social support scale.Results The total score of illness uncertainty was (96.54 ± 11.67).Occupation,family per capita monthly income,diabetes pain and social support were the main influencing factors of disease uncertainty in patients with type 2 diabetes.Conclusion The illness uncertainty of patients with type 2 diabetes is at a moderate level,medical staff should strengthen the psychological intervention of patients,reduce uncertainty in illness,in order to improve their quality of life and health.
