The influencing factors of acceptance of disability among postoperative patients with breast cancer

Abstract:Objective To investigate the level of the acceptance of disability(AOD),and the effects of social relational quality,sense of coherence on acceptance of disability among postoperative patients with breast cancer.Methods Totally,343 postoperative patients with breast cancer were investigated by general information questionnaire and the Acceptance of Disability Scale (ADS),the Social Relational Quality Scale (SRQS) and the Sense of Coherence Scale 13 (SOC-13).Results The score of AOD were (79.56-± 8.53),which showed a moderate level.The monthly income of family,medical insurance,each dimension of the social relational quality and controlable of the sense of coherence were the main influencing factors of AOD.Conclusion The AOD among postoperative patients with breast cancer need to be further improved.Nurses should take effective interventions aiming at the sense of coherence and the social relational quality to improve their physical and mental health.
