A qualitative analysis of factors affecting the hospital discharge plan in patients with T-type drainage tube after hepatobiliary surgery

Abstract:Objective To explore the factors affecting the hospital discharge plan in patients with T-type drainage tube after hepatobiliary surgery.Methods Totally,30 patients with T tube after hepatobiliary surgery,30 family members,15 doctors and 20 nurses conducting discharge plan were chosen for semi-structed interview based on the grounded theory.Extracted concept species and core category by the qualitative analysis software.Results Forty first-order concepts and eleven second-order concepts were extracted by open coding,five core concepts were extracted including information,communication,decision -making,mechanism and demand through selective coding,and four theoretical hypothesis were proposed including diversified demands,backward mechanism construction,secondary decision-making flaw extension and information transmission retardant.Conclusion The medical institutions should improve management mechanism to make discharge plan practice conducted with accurate decision-making,smooth information and powerful communication,satisfy demands,further prevent influences of varied factors to the uttermost,avoid negative,passive,blind and defected participation in discharge plan and the results have guiding significance for the implementation of improving the discharge planning.
