A clinical application study on Traditional Chinese Medicine five element music therapy in the life quality of chronic hepatitis B patients with interferon treatment

Abstract:Objective To study the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) five element music therapy on the life quality of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients with interferon treatment.Methods Totally,240 cases of CHB patients with interferon treatment were randomly divided into three groups,the experimental group (n =80) received Traditional Chinese Medicine five element music,control group Ⅰ (n =80)received routine nursing and the control group Ⅱ (n =80) received ordinary musicotherapy.Then the quality of life,anxiety and depression state,treatment compliance were compared among three groups before intervention,3 months and 6 months after intervention.Results After 3 months intervention,the scores of quality of life,anxiety and depression state,treatment compliance among three groups had statistical significant difference (P < 0.01) and the experiment group had better effect than both control groups.Conclusion TCM five element music therapy can improve patients'life quality,reduce anxiety and depression state,thus to improve patients'treatment compliance,which is worth popularization and application in clinic.
