The level and influencing factors of self-perceived burden in tuberculosis patients

Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship among the self-perceived burden,social support and family function of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis,and provide evidence for clinical nurses.Methods Totally,600 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in a grade three infectious disease hospital were investigated by Self-Perceived Burden Scale,Social Support Rating Scale,Family Assessment Device.Results Pulmonary tuberculosis patients' self-perceived burden score was (29.73 ± 4.46),which was in a relevant high level.And 80.17 % of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis had self-perceived burden,97 cases (16.17 %) had severe brrden,205 cases (34.17%),179 (29.83 %) cases had mild burden.Gender,age,treatment status,social support and family function were the main factors of self-perceived burden of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.Conclusion Nursing staff should carry on the effective appraisal to the present situation of tuberculosis patients,formulate reasonable and effective nursing plan,improve the quality of life of patients,promote the rehabilitation of patients.
