Abstract：The article reviewed implementation mode,content and effect of five models about intermediate care in foreign,including hospital-at-home,nurse-led units,community hospitals,the geriatric day hospital,and nursing home-based.By combining the current situation and characteristics of intermediate care in China,some suggestions were proposed,including establishment of a diversified intermediate care service model,strengthening team training for intermediate care,and improving the utilization of all kinds of care institutions in the interim care,so as to provide a new way for the development of intermediate care in China.
