Investigation of the reasons for dimission and re-employment status among nurses in primary hospitals

Abstract:Objective To investigate the reasons for dimission and re-employment status among nurses in primary hospitals,so as to provide reference for the development of strategies to reduce the shortage of nurses and stabilize nursing team.Methods Totally,245 nurses in 2013 to 2015 from 7 country hospitals and 10 township hospitals were investigated with a self-designed questionnaire.Result The main two reasons for dimission were the psychological unbearable working pressure and responsibility (35.51%) and the physical unbearable working intensity and rest (35.10%).The rates of pursuing nursing work (65.31%) and changing job (26.94%) after leaving were large.Conclusion Nursing managers should allocate human resources rationally,reduce nurse pressure,and improve nurses’ pay packages for the stabilization of nurse team.
