The correlation study between self-efficacy of health behavior and social support before Radio Frequency Catheter Ablation

Abstract:Objective To explore the correction between self-efficacy of health behavior and social support of patients before radio frequency catheter ablation(RFCA).Methods Self-rated abilities for health practice scale(SRAHP) and Social support rating scale were conducted in 120 patients before radio frequency catheter ablation.Results The total score of SRAHP was(58.36 ± 21.53),self-efficacy among patients 18.33% was at a high level,57.50% patients was at a medium level and 24.17% patients was at a low level.The total score of social support was (39.91 ±7.62),which was lower compared to the domestic norm(P < 0.01).Each dimension and the total scores between SRAHP and the social support had positive correlation (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05).Conclusion The state of patients'self-efficacy before RFCA is at a medium or low level.And to strengthen patients'social support can improve their self-efficacy of health behavior,which is effective to build their health behavior,in order to promote in preoperative preparation and promote patients'rehabilitation.
