A study on the supportive care needs of gynecological malignant tumors

Abstract:Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of supportive care needs of gynecologica in different treatment stages,so as to provide basis for developing intervention strategies.Methods A total of 138 gynecologic malignant tumors in three 3A-level hospitals of Chongqing were investigated with a self -designed general information questionnaire and supportive care needs questionnaire at newly diagnosed,3 months after diagnosis and 6 months after dagnosis.Results Except the physical and daily living domain and psychological domain,the supportive caring needs domains showed a decreased trend at 3 months after diagnosis,patient care and support domain showed a increased trend at 6 months after diagnosis.The score of supportive caring needs in gynecologic malignant tumors among three time points showed significant difference (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05).Conclusion Gynecologic malignant tumors in the course of disease progression and treatment supportive care needs show a dynamic change trend,medical staff should grasp the clinical features of supportive care needs and provide targeted nursing to improve the life quality of the patients.
