Practice and effects of carrying out voluntary nursing service in morning shift in kidney outpatient clinic

Abstract：Objective To explore the methods and effects of outpatient volunteer services. Methods The volunteer team was set up to explain treatment process,held kidney disease healthy lectures. A self - designed Satisfaction survey questionnaire was adopted to investigate patient satisfaction. Results Nurses’ awareness of providing active nursing was strengthened,the nurse - patient relationship was more harmonious,and the satisfactory rate of outpatients increased from 95. 38% in 2010 to 98. 83% in 2014. Conclusion Implementation of consultation services in outpatient department is beneficial for patients to get infor-mation about hospital visits,which is an effective way to improve the quality of outpatient care,and realize the volunteers’ own value.
