The willingness and attitude towards internet-based intervention among individuals with prediabetes

Abstract:Objective To investigate the willingness and attitude towards internet - based intervention among individuals with prediabetes. Methods Structural interviews followed with a self - designed interview outline were conducted among 62 individuals with prediabetes from September,2013 to October,2014. Their willingness and attitudes towards internet - based intervention were analyzed with content analysis. Results About 88. 71% participants had access to the internet,and 53. 23% participants had ever sought health promotion through internet. Most of the participants held positive attitude towards on-line health intervention(74. 19% )and the expertness of the internet - based intervention was most concerned among participants. Conclusion Internet - based intervention would be a practicable way to promote health among individuals with prediabetes who have positive attitudes toward online health intervention. Indi-viduals’ needs should be considered comprehensively when relevant intervention program is to conducted.
