Effect of col aborative care model on quality of life and the number of admission in patients with ulcerative colitis

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the effects of collaborative care model on quality of life and the number of hospitalization in patients with ulcerative coli-tis. Method one hundred of patients with ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into the observation group(50 cases)and the control group(50 cases). Pa-tients in the control group received traditional nursing,while patients in the observation group were treated with cooperative nursing. The quality of life and the av-erage number of admission within one year in the two groups were compared at 3 months after discharge. Result After the collaborative care intervention,the pa-tients’ quality of life in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P ﹤ 0. 01). The times of hospitalization in the observation group was signif-icantly lower than that of the control group(P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion Application of collaborative care model in patients with ulcerative colitis can significantly improve the quality of life,and reduce the frequency of hospitalization.
