Effects of rational emotive therapy for fetal abnormalities maternal psychological status

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of rational emotive therapy - based psychological intervention strategies for maternal fetal abnormalities. Methods Psychological intervention strategy was established based on rational emotive therapy and applied to the psychological care of 30 pregnancy women af-ter 20 weeks of gestation who suddenly encountered fetal abnormalities. The woman were assessed using the Impact of Event. Scale - Revised(IES - R)and Tri-age Assessment System(TAS)before and after intervention. Results After the intervention,the score of IES - R and the score of TAS decreased significanthy than baseline(P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion Rational emotive therapy can ease the impact of maternal fetal abnormalities accidents,reaches emotional - cognitive -behavior harmonious.
