A qualitative study on the influencing factors of continuity care for postoperative patients

Abstract：Objective To understand the influencing factors of continuity care for postoperative patients. Method Eleven nurses received a semi - struc-ture interview using phenomenological research method. Data were analyzed and the theme were extracted using Colaizzi method. Results Four themes were ex-tracted,including the nurses lack of knowledge,shortage of nursing human resource,lack of effective link between the hospital and the community patients’poor. Conclusion It is suggested to provide effective measures to increase nurses’knowledge,strengthen nursing human resource allocation,facilitate effective conver-gence between hospital and community and improve the patients adherence,so as to improve the effect of continuity care service constantly.
