The influence of job stressors on job satisfaction of community nurses in Xi ’an

Abstract：Objective To investigate the status of job stressors and satisfaction of community nurses and their relationship in Xi’an. Methods Totally, 302 community nurses from 24 community health service centers in Xi’an were investigated by using general information questionnaire,job stressor scale of com-munity health nurses and job satisfaction scale. Results The total score of community nurses job stressors was(71. 55 ± 25. 41). And the total score of commu-nity nurses’ job satisfaction was(139. 88 ± 19. 33). Multiple linear stepwise regression showed that the professional and technical titles,the monthly income,the problems from intrinsic job features,work overload and time pressures,management dynamics and interpersonal relations were the influencing factor of nurses’job satisfaction. Conclusion The community nursing managers should take actions to improve the working facilities,increase nurses’satisfaction with pay,and create more chances to promote,so as to increase the satisfaction of community nurses.
