Construction and achievements of PICC maintenance network in Jingzhou City

Abstract：Objective To explore the construction effects of PICC maintenance network,and provide standard maintenance for PICC patients. Methods On the basis of the platform of PICC and oncology nurse specialist training base in Hubei Province,the Maintaining network of PICC has been con-structed,and implemented PICC mainting network mangement. Results Sixteen county-level hospitals,12 township central hospitals,and 6 community health service centers have been invovled in this maintaining network. The number of nurses trained for PICC maintenance reached 162. The rates of unexpected extuba-tion and PICC complication during discharged were decreased(P﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion PICC maintaining network not only satisfies the needs of patients with PICC,but also improves the compliance of patients. And it still promotes the development of PICC.
