Methods Totally,220 primiparas who had made registration and regular antenatal examination in an maternity hospital, were randomly divided into two groups. The women in the control group(113 cases)received routine antenatal clinic service. In addition, the women in the experimental group(107 cases)received six subject situational simulation visits provided by midwives. Results The score of anxiety in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P﹤0.01).Therateofnaturaldeliveryandchildbirthcomplianceintheexperimentalgroupwerehigherthanthatofthecontrolgroup(P﹤0.01).The stages of labor and volume of bleeding 2 hours postpartum in the experimental group were significantly lower than that of the control group(P﹤0. 01 or P﹤0. 05). Conclusion The midwivesˊsituational simulation visits can reduce primiparasˊanxiety, increase the natrual delivery rate and childbirth compliance, and re-duce postpartum bleeding.
