Correlation study on self-management behavior and social support among lumbar disc herniation patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the status and correlation of self-management behavior and social support among lumbar disc herniation( LDH)pa-tients. Methods Ninety-six LDH patients were investigated using Chromic Disease Self-Mangement Behavior Measuring Scale and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS).Results Averagescoresofself-managementbehaviorandsocialsupportofLDHpatientswere(20.42±7.52)and(40.16±6.89),respective-ly. There existed positive correlation between them(P﹤0. 01). Conclusion Nurses could take interventions to improve LDH patientsˊsocial support,so as to im-prove their self-management behaviors.
