Research Progress on Interaction Between Microplastics and Biofilms in the Three Gorges Reservoir

Abstract：The problem of microplastics pollution in the Three Gorges Reservoir is becoming more and more serious.Be-cause of its small particle size and large specific surface area,microplastics have become the carriers of harmful substances in the water environment.As a representative of the freshwater system,the horizontal and vertical migration of microplastics in the Three Gorges Reservoir shows complex behavior under the influence of hydrological process and hydrodynamic condi-tions.Biofilms not only accelerate the sedimentation of microplastics,but also affect their environmental behavior and direc-tion by changing the properties and structure of microplastics.This paper reviews the research progress on the interaction be-tween microplastics and biofilms,and discusses the characteristics and ecological risks of microplastics pollution in the Three Gorges Reservoir,aiming to provide scientific basis and reference for the treatment of microplastics pollution in the reservoir.
