Abstract:In this study, the combination of anoxic sequencing batch reactor(SBR)and vegetable constructed wetlands plant-ed with water spinach were used to treat the scattered domestic sewage in rural areas. The optimal hydraulic retention time(HRT)of SBR was selected for the combined process, and the pollutants removal performance and resource recovery potential of the combined process were evaluated under the conditions of temperature of(30±2)℃,the conditions of HRT of 5 h and a hydraulic load of 0.92 m3/(m2·d).The results showed that the longer the HRT,the better the removal effect of pollutants.Considering the carbon source requirements of constructed wetlands and the nutrient elements required for wetland plant growth, the optimal HRT for SBR in the combined process was 5 hours. The combination process had excellent pollutant removal performance, and the removal efficiencies of COD,NH4+-N,TN and TP were 85.4%,80.8%,68.6%and 94.3%,respectively.The effluent concentrations of COD,TP and TN met the first class A standards of Discharge Standard of Pollut-ants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant(GB 18918-2002)and NH4+-N reached the first class B standards.Water spinach grew well during the experiment, which showed great resource recovery potential.
