Abstract:Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a sensitive area for global warming, with unique environmental characteristics and sensitivity. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the changes of microbial community composition, metabolic pathways and functional genes of activated sludge with temperature in plateau environment for stable and efficient operation and maintenance of high altitude wastewater treatment plants. The pollutant treatment effect of A2O process used in the highland city of Linzhi,Tibet at different temperatures was investigated, and the reasons for the changes were explored through microbial community composition, microbial metabolic pathways and functional genes of the microbial communi-ty.The results showed that the changes in microbial community due to temperature changes in plateau conditions affect the pollutant treatment effect, and the metabolic pathways and main genes of microorganisms in plateau conditions are significantly different from those in subalpine areas, which confirmed the influence of temperature and environmental changes on microbial ecosystem, and provided some theoretical reference for the optimization and upgrading of A2O process in plateau conditions.
