Abstract:Zr(NO3)4·5H2O was utilized as the source of Zr to prepare zirconium doped bismuth oxybromide(Zr/BiOBr)composites through the solvothermal method, which proved to be effective in the breakdown of tetracycline(TC).The photo-degradation of tetracycline was investigated with different composition ratios,pH,and dosage, and the samples were character-ized by XRD and other means. The results revealed that the synthesized catalyst is a tetramonal BiOBr with a band gap of 2.61 eV and a mesoporous structure at an 8%zirconium doping amount. The total degradation rate of TC by 8%Zr/BiOBr reached 93.5%when the TC solution concentration was 40 mg/L,the stock solution pH was 6.7,and the catalyst dosage was 0.2 g/L.The degradation performance of 8%Zr/BiOBr was 21.6%higher than that of pure BiOBr prepared under the same conditions. Therefore, the photocatalytic performance of BiOBr modified with Zr doping can be significantly improved, and the related research results can be applied in the field of water pollution control and human health.
