Abstract:Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the use of antiviral drugs(ATVs)has increased dramatically. While these ATVs treat diseases, their metabolites will enter the water body with sewage treatment, causing certain toxicity to algae, fish, water fleas and other microorganisms in the aquatic environment, and even endangering human health. In view of the potential environmental and human health risks caused by the entry of antiviral drugs into water, this article reviews the physicochemical characteristics of ATVs,their present situation of pollution in water, and their ecotoxicity. The degradation effects and pathways of different advanced oxidation techniques on ATVs in water are elaborated and analyzed, and the research prospects of ATVs are prospected, which is expected to provide theoretical support for the research of ATVs in aquat-ic environment.
