Study on Rare Earth La-iron and Coke Micro-electrolysis Used for PVA Wastewater

Abstract：Rare earth La-iron and coke system was used for PVA wastewater treatment,and the effect of different reaction systems which contain rare earth La system,La-coke system,Fe-coke system and La-iron and coke system on PVA removal rate under the conditions of pH from 1 to 10,as well as the effect of different reaction systems on PVA removal rate over time under acidic conditions and alkaline conditions were studied.The results show that the PVA removal rate of the rare earth La-iron and coke system is more than 85％ at pH 3 and the reaction time 6 h,which is far greater than Fe-coke system.Under acidic conditions,La can be used as the catalyst in the Fe-coke system and the La has oxidation.Under alkaline conditions,the La mainly acts as flocculation.
