Abstract:Microcystins (MCs),which has serious hepatotoxicity and carcinogenic effect, has directly threatened the safety of drinking water. In this paper, the changes of MCs concentration and other main water quality indexes, including pH,water temperature (WT),total nitrogen (TN),total phosphorus (TP),ammoniacal nitrogen (NH4+-N),permanganate index (COD) and chlorophyll a (Chl-a),in the three drinking water sources (West Waterworks,North Waterworks,Laohutan Reservoir) of Huzhou City, was detected monthly from September 2015 to September 2016.The state of water eutrophication was evaluated, and the pollution characteristics of MCs and the correlation between MCs and water quality were also analyzed. The results showed that Laohutan Reservoir was in perennial moderate-eutrophic status, both West Waterworks and North Waterworks were in light-eutrophic status. The average MCs concentration was (0.063±0.002) μg/L in the three drinking water sources, which was lower than the standard recommended by WHO (1.0 μg/L),thus the drinking water of Huzhou City was safe for citizens.According to the correlation analysis between MCs and the water quality indexes,p(MCs) was significant positively correlated with TP (P<0.05) but negatively correlated to TN/TP or WT.The correlation between MCs and p(TN/TP),pH,ρ(NH4+-N),p(Chl-a),ρ(COD) was not significant.
